Privacy policy

This policy explains what OKtoBuy (operated by Stargo, Inc., "we") collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We've kept it short and plain.

What we collect

• What you type into our forms: your name, email, role, and the deal details you choose to share.
• Documents you upload for a readout: we send you a secure upload link. These are usually the seller's P&Ls, tax returns and bank statements, and may contain personal and financial information about the seller and others.
• Basic server logs: our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. We don't run advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

• To reply to you, provide the service and prepare your readout.
• To process documents with automated tools, including AI systems, and, if you choose human review, to let a reviewer read them.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We don't sell your information or the seller's documents. We don't share documents with brokers, lenders or sellers, and we don't use them to value any business.

Who else sees it

Service providers that host the website, store files and run the processing see data only to provide those services to us, under contract. If you request human review, the reviewer working on your readout sees the documents. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Your responsibility for seller documents

Before you send us a seller's documents, make sure your confidentiality agreement with the seller or broker allows you to share them with advisers and service providers. Most NDAs do, but check yours.

How long we keep it

We keep uploaded documents only as long as needed to prepare and support your readout, and we delete them when you ask. Contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to delete documents you sent, using the contact form on our about page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we'll honor them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects documents you've already sent, we'll tell you first.
